HEC Declare 157 Educational Institutes Illegal

Educational institutions across the country turned out to be fake. According to the details, the Higher Education Commission has released a new list of illegal educational institutions, 157 educational institutions across the country have been declared illegal and fake.
According to HEC, 95 colleges and other educational institutes in Punjab are also fake and unregistered, the most 31 educational institutes in Lahore are illegal.
HEC declared 15 private educational institutions of Rawalpindi as fake. While 8 private educational institutions of Faisalabad and 8 of Multan are also fake.
The list also includes 4 educational institutions of Mian Chanu. Apart from this, the educational institutions of Rahimyar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Gujranwala, Laiyya and DG Khan are also included in the list of HEC.
The Higher Education Commission has directed that students check the HEC website before taking admission and take admission on HEC registered educational institutions.
On the other hand, the Graduate Education Policy 2023 has been set, the policy will be effective from the autumn semester 2023. The policy can be accessed through the HEC website.
In the light of HEC’s two decades of experience and the consultation of experts associated with the higher education sector, the policy was formulated keeping in mind the basic principles of the autonomy of the universities and the improvement of the quality of education.
The policy is set to promote academic freedom, relevance and originality.
The noteworthy feature of the Graduate Education Policy 2023 is that independent thinking was adopted in its formulation. While inter-departmental admission was allowed which will enable students to gain knowledge within their chosen department.
